Every Lie I've Ever Lived

26/08/08 - So whats been happening over the last 6 months... Well, Scandinavia was a blast, massive thanks to Stian for organising, Eskatol our touring buddies & all the people that kindly put us up, fed us & allowed us to take over their homes along the way, not forgetting all the bands we played with, especially Black Blood World, Clutches, Shades of Grey & Pandemi.

We now have the full release of the Every Lie 7" with full colour booklet of lyrics & artwork by Mid for sale.

Next for us is the Winterfest at The Dome, London on December 6th and recording a new album, one of which tracks will be Drone filmed by G at the recent Pisschrist gig in the 1in12, Bradford.

20/02/08 - Yeah, we know, we've pretty much neglected this site lately, but with the reformation of our old haunt Deviated Instinct, which involves the whole of Bait, things have been quite busy. Now that the UK gigs we'd planned for DI are over, we can get back to writing new Bait material. Plans are currently being made to get ourselves back over to Norway in May with some Swedish dates thrown in for good measure, should be a blast.

24/09/07 - We now have a handful of the limited Every Lie I've Ever Lived 7" with clear coated cover available.

10/07/07 - Ok, we've been rather quiet for some time. The good news is, we finally have another drummer, so after a year of false starts, may we introduce Cooper. He already plays drums for Sludge upstarts A HORSE CALLED WAR. Thankfully he has agreed to moonlight for us. Things are looking good & we've begun writing new material.

19/12/06 - While waiting for the artwork, Nakkeskudd have now released a limited version of the Every Lie I've Ever Lived 7" with clear coated cover on the outside and a modified full colour cd version on the inside. Numbered to 100 copies. mail order only through the Nakkeskudd Platter site!

18/07/06 - Thought I'd add some footage from our Norway jaunt to our Video page for you all to view. This is a new and as yet untitled track from Rivals Rock pub, Tønsberg, enjoy.

19/06/06 - So, back from the Norwegian shores and we're already planning our next trip. We had a blast and must thank Stian from Nakkeskudd for organising a superb tour. Thanks also to Pandemi for being excellent touring partners. Unfortunately we have taken a casualty of the tour, Nick, our drummer for 5 years or more has decided to quit the band for personal reasons. We would like to wish him all the best.

Now the search is on for his replacement, especially with more touring & recording commitments already in the pipeline. If you feel you've got what it takes, drop us a line.

17/04/06 - We have dates confirmed for our short tour of the Norwegian fjords which should coincide with the release of the 'Every Lie' 7" on Nakkeskudd plater.

May 25 Kafe Kafaen, Bergen, with Pandemi (Nor)
May 26 Uffa, Trondheim, with Pandemi (Nor) and Varnagel (Swe)
May 27 Blitz, Oslo, with Pandemi (Nor) and Kakistocracy (USA)
May 28 Rivals Rock pub, Tønsberg, with Pandemi (Nor) and Summon the Crows (Nor)

This should be superb and we're all really looking forward to getting overseas.

23/03/06 - I've dropped some more video clips onto the Videos & Photos page. Both are as yet unreleased tracks from the forthcoming Loderbrock 7", and Fight For Your Mind records compilation; filmed at our recent visit to Nottingham's Old General. Why not take a gander and abuse us with some feedback.

10/03/06 - Thought we'd share a video clip of '15 Seconds of Shame' from last weekends D'n'R all-dayer in Sheffield... it's 27 meg, so those on dial up, go grab a coffee.

Other news; we've been recording some more tracks, one for the forth coming Loderbrock concept crust 7" release Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It will feature a song from 4 bands representing each horseman. Summon the Crows (Norway) representing "Pestilence", we have "Famine", Extinction of Mankind (uk) representing "War" and Garmonbozia (us) representing "Death".

The "Run the Gauntlet" 7" just got back from being mastered by John Golden and is now off to the pressing plant, so we should have some in our grubby hands real soon.

15/01/06 - Ok, kicking the new year off we have quite a bit of news. First off the 'Run The Gauntlet' 7" on US Loderbrock records is currently in the process of test pressing. Tracks are 'Run the Gauntlet', '15 Seconds of Shame' and a cover of 'See Through Their Lies' by the mighty Crucifix. Also recorded was a track for an international compilation on Fight For Your Mind records called 'Unleash the Plague Dogs', I'll keep you posted on the release dates of these. For the hell of it we also recorded a punk as fuck cover of Antisect's 'In Darkness' which is now available as a website download.

We have a few gigs lined up over the coming months, seems after months of struggling to get any gigs at all, we've stumbled into Bait season. Those that are confirmed so far are listed, but there seem to be plenty more in the pipeline. Plans are also currently being made for a short trip to Norway for a week to coincide with the 'Every Lie I've Ever Lived' 7" release on Nakkeskudd plater. This was originally self released as a CDEP in 2003 and is about to be reborn on vinyl with all new artwork from Mid. Really looking forward to getting our sorry asses overseas. I'll post some more details when I have them.

02/09/05 - September already.... I know, I've been real slack at updating this site. Well, what's happening? We did manage to drag ourselves into the studio finally to record the tracks for the forthcoming Loderbrock 7". Two newish Bait decompositions and a cracking rendition of Crucifix's 'See Through their lies'. Also recorded a cover of Antisects 'In Darkness' for the hell of it which we will be available on the site as a download only. Lol's just putting together the final mix, so as soon as it's ready, I'll add a link.

We've actually started writing some new shit for more future releases with plans to record one of them later this month.

Gigs, well, let's just say they're slightly illusive at the moment. Got some tour plans in the pipeline though, keep you posted on those as we have them.

01/05/05 - Biggest news in the Bait world of late is that we are seriously chuffed to welcome Lol into the fold as a second guitar slinger. So the new power packed 8 legged beast is now heavier and noisier than ever...yes, we've also purchased a new trumpet that we like to blow.

Lol used to play in Norwich screamo outfits 'We Close our Eyes' and 'When Ghosts use knives' amongst others. He's also a professional sound engineer and just so happened to have worked on the Bait album last year and so thankfully already knew the songs backwards. The new improved version of this rock combo will be laying waste to the nation at the end of the month.

We're planning on going into the studio within the next month or so to record the tracks for our forthcoming 7" on Loderbrock records and then plan on doing some serious writing for the next major opus.

28/04/05 - We've got a handful of gigs coming up late May early June. Two in London, the North London Punx Picnic with the mighty Warhead from Japan on May 28th & then back to The Grov in Brixton to support Minneapolis punk-as-fuck Provoked on June 1st. Before all of that it's over to Boston, Lincs to support The Now Denial (German Crust attack) on May 27th.

21/02/05 - The Bradford 1in12 all dayer was superb, cheers to everyone involved, all the bands and all those who turned up, from all corners of the globe it seemed. Faces old and new made it a top night, we certainly enjoyed ourselves. Looking forward to Brixton with Doom again.

Bradford Iin12 clip
and I'll be it's dog 2.54Meg

28/01/05 - We have confirmation of two blinding gigs coming up. Bradford on the 19th Feb and Brixton on the 4th March both with the recently reformed Doom and a whole host of noisemongery. We also have news on the illusive T-shirt designs... they're finally in the process of being printed, so we'll have some at the gigs and on the site real soon. There's also another decent review of 'Anatomy' in this months Zero Tolerance mag.

10/12/04 - Bait appear in December's Terrorizer magazine with a short interview with Mid, we're also reviewed in this months Metal Hammer and issue #81 of US punk zine 'Slug & Lettuce'.

25/10/04 - Two months have just flown by again, and what's happened? Firstly, we'd like to thank Mark and everyone involved in the successful IATDE All Dayers, and send our apologies for not being able to make the London date. The Norwich date was, well, bizarre, but we enjoyed ourselves.
We've had some cracking reviews of Anatomy, as it appears to be receiving a very positive response from all over the world. Check them out. For those who buy the Metal glossies, it's also been reviewed in this months Rock-Sound & Big Cheese.
Just to note, our official release date has been rescheduled to November 1st.

22/08/04 - Just received confirmation of the 'In At The Deep End' all dayers with the same line up for both dates; Leeds Josephs Well, October 2nd & the ULU in London, October 10th. Both dates kick off at 2pm.
We're hopefully continuing the IATDE gigs with another planned for October 13th in Norwich with The Letters Organize & The Once Over Twice. Details are still to be confirmed for this one though.

20/08/04 - 'Anatomy of Disaster' has received it's first full review, check it out here

14/08/04 - The day has finally arrived. The Bait album 'Anatomy of Disaster' is unleashed and now available by mail-order on the distro pages on the IATDE site for a reasonable £7.00 UK including postage. It will be available through Shellshock from November 1st 2004.

12/07/04 - We certainly know how to take our time, but we do get there eventually...honest. As I speak the Bait album 'Anatomy of Disaster' is at the manufacturing plant and will finally be unleashed onto an unsuspecting world VERY soon. It'll be in shops throughout the UK in a while but will be available direct from us or the label much sooner (much cheaper too) so keep an eye on the distro pages on the IATDE site. Hopefully it will have been worth the wait. For all you fashion victims out there you should be able to be the epitome (or antithesis even) of cool soon as Bait T-shirts and badges are in the making.

Other news. We've plans to do a split 7" with Portland Crust gods HELLSHOCK on Wicked Witch records from Amsterdam, plus also a full Bait 7" on groovy new US label Loderbrock records. We're writing stuff for those now so hope to record that stuff in the Autumn.

09/05/04 - After lots of tinkering with the mix, then adding a couple of tracks from the 'Every Lie' EP at the last minute, then of course.. more tinkering with the mix and many headaches later... especially for Errol and Lol at Plug Studios, the aptly titled 'Anatomy of Disaster' album is finally in the can. Just the Artwork to complete and it should be available from us and the label in six weeks, then in the shops a month or two after that.

Don't forget to check us out at the Waterfront Norwich if you're in the area on May 18th with Insaniac, Dragline & Forever Falling, tickets available from us or the usual outlets HMV, UEA Union, Soundclash and The Waterfront, priced at a very reasonable £5 advance/£6 on the door.

18/04/04 - Well... the last two months have flown by... but at least we're finally out from the eternal darkness that was winter. Got some new gigs added to the gigs page, check them out. The next gig is in Lowestoft Oulton Broad at The Brewery on April 22nd with Psychosism.

Then back to The Marquee on April 26th as the flyer left indicates, click to enlarge.

No news on the Album for IATDE yet, still mixing the additional tracks '...and I'll be it's dog' and 'Cathode', and reshuffling the running order, but I'll post any new developments here soon as...

20/02/04
- Unfortunately, the gig planned for the 28th Feb at the Verge has had to be cancelled, but looks to be rearranged soon.

The next gig so far is in Norwich at The Marquee P/H on March 5th with

Narcosis
Army of Flying Robots
Patient Zero
Bleed 13

It's £4.00 on the door and starts at 7, so don't be late as we're first on...

There are some last minute changes being made to the mini album
'The Anatomy Of Disaster' for IATDE. We're re-recording a couple of the tracks (possibly ...and I'll be it's dog and Cathode) from the EP 'Every Lie I've Ever Lived', so artwork & release dates are still to be arranged.

Check out the new photos added to the site from the Neural Interface gig at the Catherine Wheel. We had a really good night with a good turn out, so cheers to all.

18/01/04 - Well, it's 2004... a big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us through 2003, oh, and FUCK YOU to those who didn't.

This year begins with a new release 'The Anatomy Of Disaster'. 8 tracks all recorded and due out soon on IATDE, keep you posted on release dates etc. Tracks are;

2- 364 and Counting (Rise of the Maggots)
3- Descender
4- As the Crow Flies

There will be streaming audio sorted for a couple of the new tracks on the Releases page, as soon as we get the release details and artwork sorted, with a revamped site to follow reflecting the new artwork.

We have a few gigs over the next few weeks posted on the Gigs page, funny enough. Beginning with a free NEURAL INTERFACE one, yup, that's right, FREE, at The Catherine Wheel P/H, St Augustins, Norwich on the 31st Jan. Dj's from 7:30 until 9pm, we're on at 9, then Dj's to finish the night off. Should be cool, so get yourself down there. No excuses. Click the flyer left to get a printable version.

Just to note, February 28th takes us to The Verge, Kentish Town, London with Send More Paramedics and maybe The Devils.
Then back to Norwich at The Marquee P/H on March 5th with Narcosis, Army of Flying Robots, Patient Zero, Bleed 13.
More on those nearer the time.
